Day 1

Outbound Flight

Full of anticipation and without knowing exactly what awaited us in the coming days, we set off together for the airport. Even on the way there, the mood was cheerful, and you could sense the tension and excitement in every single person. It was that special feeling you only experience shortly before a journey, a mixture of curiosity, joy, and expectation.

Once we arrived at the airport, we finally met the rest of the group. The positive energy was immediately noticeable. Everywhere you could see smiling faces, hear conversations about the upcoming week, and notice how much everyone was looking forward to the shared experience.

When boarding began, it finally became clear to us: now it is really starting. This moment felt like the official beginning of our adventure. Although it was still early in the morning, the mood on the plane was surprisingly lively. The anticipation could be felt throughout the entire aircraft.

Despite a small incident before departure that unfortunately caused a delay, our spirits remained positive throughout. No one let it spoil the mood. Instead, we tried to make the best of the situation and continued looking ahead to the coming week with optimism.

During the flight, some tried to sleep, but the excitement was simply too great. Despite the early hour, hardly anyone was truly tired, because our thoughts were already on the next few days and all the planned activities. During the stopover in Warsaw, we unfortunately had to realize that we would no longer make our connecting flight in time. Naturally, that was annoying at first. But thanks to Mr. Trier’s commitment, we received vouchers for food and drinks from the airline. This small gesture immediately lifted everyone’s mood again, and we used the extra time to laugh together and continue talking.

Soon afterwards, we continued on to Kraków. With every passing minute, the anticipation of finally arriving grew. In Kraków, we were warmly welcomed by Pavel. From the very beginning, he gave us a feeling of security and organization. Throughout the entire trip, he took care of everything reliably and made sure that we always felt well looked after.

After a short train ride, we finally reached our hostel. It immediately made a positive impression on us. The rooms were clean and tidy, and we were especially pleased that we had the entire hostel to ourselves. That immediately created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Some members of the group still had so much energy despite the long day that they went jogging right away. That showed how motivated and full of energy everyone was.

Later that evening, the Israelis also arrived at the hostel. We welcomed them warmly, there were hugs, laughter, and almost a sense of celebration. The good mood was clearly noticeable on both sides, and it was immediately obvious that the atmosphere between us was right.

Although we initially wanted to give them a bit of time to arrive, they came straight up to us and wanted to do something together. Since it was our first evening, we ordered pizza and ate together in the lobby. We sat there for a long time, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying the moment.

Looking back, the first day was a complete success, shaped by anticipation, solidarity, and positive energy. It was a successful start to a week that still had many special experiences in store for us.
